Produce Overview & Global Demand
The Nashik district of Maharashtra, anchoring the renowned Lasalgaon APMC market, is the global benchmark for fresh red onions. Cultivated in mineral-rich black volcanic soils, Maharashtra onions are characterized by tight multi-layered papery skins, high pungency, crisp flesh texture, and long storage dormancy that withstands international sea freight.
Vishnu Balaji Global manages dedicated sourcing directly at farm-gate collection centers across Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Pune. We supervise field drying and curing to ensure that the neck tissues are thoroughly sealed, eliminating mold proliferation and premature sprouting during transit.
